COVERING THE CRIME (VERSE NO.30)

This verse and the next continues with the narration about the two sons of Adam and Eve:-

After a severe conflict between the noise of jealousy, and the fair voice of Cain's conscience, his evil intention managed to overcome his goodness, and at once he decided to kill his brother, and he did that!

``His inner capricious inclination gradually encouraged him to kill his brother, and he killed him!''

He at first left the dead body of his brother in an isolated point in the waste, but the beasts and birds rushed to tear the body and his clothes, and Cain was ashamed of himself to see that! Not knowing what to do with the corpse, and how to hide the shameful deed he had done; he carried the body for a while on his shoulder, to save him from the wild beasts and birds. Then it happened so that God roused a raven - a black bird usually held in contempt - to dig the earth and bury a dead Crow, so that Cain could come to know to bury the corpse of his brother, and how to conceal his shameful deed and crime.
