When the bright evening star vanished, there came another opportunity forABRAHAM to attack the other sects of Mithraism who worshipped the god of light. He saw the moon rising up - this was bigger and brighter in the sight of vulgars and Mithraists. But very soon the moon too, not only set like the star, but changed in shape and size every now and then; and that is besides borrowing light from the sun!ABRAHAM reasoned again, how can we depend upon such a fading creature saying: ``Let me suppose that this moon is my Lord! This is much brighter and larger.''But when the moon set like the star, he said: ``If my Lord do not guide me, I certainly shall be of the people who are astray.'' VERSE NO. 77
