Verses 1-3Verses 51-54

Here the prophet is addressed, and the fate and condition of heathens at their end is explained:-

``And if you could only see when they groan, and they will have no way to escape, and they are seized from a nearby place.''

Indeed painful is their tale of woe!

The stage to which the above verses refer, is most probably not in the Resurrection Day. It must be sometime or somewhere in this present life of themِIt perhaps is in their death bed where a barrier is placed between them and what they desire. Their death will appear out of a sudden, and they will have no way to escape it. They are seized from a nearby place. There were many kings and tyrants who were killed by their nearers and dearers.

When they see their end, and distressful separation from all that they loved and desired, they will say:-

``We now do believe! But how can there be any access, from a place so far away!?'' What is the use of their faith now, which was not in time?

When the truth is finally established and surety is reached, the strays are struck with astonishment and terror! They will wish to disappear at once from that stage, and be lost as dusts and vapours, that no one may even catch them. But they are held fast by the chain of their evil deeds, and the fetters of their foolish conducts. So they will groan, but there is no one to rescue or help them. They will confess and repent, and announce having faith now, but of no use; for being too late. they have lost all the good opportunities that their Merciful God had granted them, but they paid no heed and now the chances are gone far behind them to which there can be no access.

They rejected the Message of God, when they had a chance to accept it and to develop their soul and self. They were advised and admonished but they refused. They were given some true information about the unseen but they without any knowledge and correct information followed their own imaginations and suppositions about the unseen, and the life to come; and cast out their ridiculous suggestions about metaphysics, and their shoots from so far a distance of ignorance will never hit the target. Their conjectures and suppositions were always in contradiction with truth.

Death will fill them up with the pity of leaving all the good things of this life, and having nothing to live with, in their true and real life which is to come.

Death approaches, and every next moment they feel to be weaker than before, and they will have a firm barrier placed between them and their pleasures, wishes, and vain desires. In their deathbed, they gradually lose the faculty of speaking, while they steel look and see those around them. They may be thinking of their past affairs, but at once their eyes becomes sharper and keen sighted! They can see now, what they could not see before! They may see the angels, their families who were dead before, and they will feel eternity and their own eternal existence, and see what an excellent opportunity they have lost:-

``And a barrier is placed between them and what they desire, as it was done with those who were similar to them in the past; that they were in a wavering doubt.''
