Verses 50-61Verses 41-49

The aforementioned passage ended in the exceptional case of God's sincere servants. Now a brief mention is made of the wide blessings that their Lord has provided for them in the next life, as a reward for their sincerity and righteousness:-

``For them is a known sustenance, fruits, and they are honoured in the Garden of Bliss.''

God sustains every creature and provides him with food and drink. Some creatures like a group of mankind have a determined and known source of sustenance. Some others like the ants have to go and pick up their sustenance from here and there, and pile it up for the winter. There are still some creatures like the crow who lives a long life too, who has to look for his sustenance each morning he gets up. They do not know from where can they have sustenance tomorrow!

In the life to come the sustenance of the righteous believer will not be a chance or fleeting a thing. It will come out of a firm decree of God, like a law in the nature, and on principles that can be known and calculated.

Then some of the bounties that are bestowed upon the inhabitants of Paradise have been mentioned. Among these are delicious drinks from pure springs of milk, wine, water, honey and etc. Some are mentioned here and others are mentioned elsewhere in the Qurän. Of them is all kinds of fruits, delicious flesh of birds, that excite the appetite; and besides such physical bounties they will have the companionship of the fair sex with wonderful beauty and attraction! They are described to be chaste, and not bold with their glances, having extraordinary beautiful black eyes. They are coy and with prudency. They are untouched as covered eggs, as beautiful as pearls. But all these physical bounties are only a trifle, compared with the spiritual bounties that there exist.

In the Holy Qurän, the physical rewards of those who obtain Salvation have been mentioned with more details than the Spiritual blessings that are concised. This is because the Spiritual Bounties are mostly unknown to us in this life in time and space. They have been explained to some extent that they are such that, no eyes have ever seen them, no ear have ever heard of them, and no mind can imagine them!
