Verses 161-170Verses 149-160

Learning behind the stories of six prophets, the conclusion refers to some heinous superstitions of the Pagan Arabs:-

``Ask them for a verdict:- ``Is for your Lord daughters and for them sons? Or did We create the angels females. While they were witnesses!?''

Some of the tribes of Arabs, such as Salim, Khazäeh, and Banimalih were of opinion that the angels are God's daughters. They also considered that Jinnes are God's near relatives, and others proved a wife for Allah! So the Arabs had severely attacked the Monotheism that was established there by Abraham their forefather.

In fact, their knowledge of God was then like that of an ant, who thinks of God to have two small horns like themselves.

Here in this passage Allah says to His Messenger:-

``Ask them if daughters are for God, and sons for you!?''

The Pagan Arabs disliked having a daughter. Many a time happened that a wife gave birth to a female baby and her father burried her alive. How strange that through their superstitions they invented daughters for God, and said that the angels are God's daughters, and Jinns are His relatives:-

``And they have set up a relationship between Him and Jinn, and verily the Jinnee know that they too are to be presented.''

In the sight of Islam proving a child for God, be he a son or she a daughter, it is a heinous sin and utter blasphemy. Allah, as introduced by Qurän, is very far above begetting children or even adopting a son. To say that, God has created the angels as females, or He Has taken this and that for a son, or a daughrter, is no more that a shameful calumny, and childish forgery. Those who invent such relationship for Allah, do not have any clear sign to prove it. Such people usually resort to sophistry and fallacy in their argument to prove their Lie and calumny.

The next reference is to another superstition of the Arabs, who believed that some sort of a relationship exists between Allah and Jinnee other than that which naturally exist between a creature and its Creator:-

``And they have set up a relationship between Him and Jinn, while the Jinnee know that they too will have to be presented.''

Attribution of false ideas to God, that He may have a son, or they may have relationship with Jinnee or other creatures, are derogatory to God's oneness, and the supreme height He has over his creatures. These kinds of attributions are nothing but blasphemy, and man should avoid such false ideas.

HAZRAT IMAM ALI (AS) celebrated the praise of God otherwise and becoming enough, if we refer to his sermons that are compiled in NAHJULBALÄGHEH.

Here follows a quotation of one of his sermons (NO.187) which was issued about the Attributes of Allah:-

``He is one God. He has no father to share His greatness and glory, and no children to inherit His mighty domain, if He ever could cease to exist. He was, before time and space came into existence. No increase or decrease in His power and might can take place.''

On the contrary, the well designed and well controlled system of nature, organized by Him is so beautifully arranged and so marvellously marshalled, that its very existence gives clear and forceful indication of His supreme knowledge, power, and might.

Take for example, the creation of all the various galaxies which exist without any support or prop. He ordered them to be, and they spontaneously came into existence.

If they had not accepted His Lordship, and if they had not immediately obeyed His command, He would not have granted them room in space, and would not have made them the habitat of his angels, and would not have destined them as places to exhibit His glory, and as heavens of blessings towards those who sincerely and faithfully obey Him.

He knows whence every drop of water is coming, and where will it rest. He knows everything about the movement, develling, and habitat of every single ant that exists. About how much food a single mosquito needs, and whence it gets it. He knows whether a child in its mother's womb is a male baby, or female one.

All praise be to the Lord who was, when there was no space or time, no galaxies, or universe, no solar system or earth, and no Man and Jinn. He is the Lord Who is far above comprehension and understanding.

Grant of bounties to those who crave for His benevolence, do not keep Him away from other works, nor such unlimited grants can reduce his resources. No eyes can see Him, no space can bound Him within limits, and no parallel can be suggested for Him. He does not create anything with the help of anybody, nor He understands anything with the help of senses. And no one can understand him on the basis of attributes, faculties, and power of His creatures.
