Verses 49-52Verses 45-48

The immediate reference in this passage is to one of the ugly characters of the polytheists:-

``When Allah is mentioned in oneness, the hearts of those who deny Hereafter will shrink with dislike.''

Man will get sometimes so accustomed with evil and stays so aloof from truth that, rejoices by falsehood and feels to be sad when truth is mentioned!

He does not bow down before the creator of the universe, but will bow down before a piece of carved wood or stone formed to an idol! Or he may yield to a poor deified man like himself! This is due to denial of the life to come, and refusal of Monotheism.

Those who do not believe that there prevails a law of control in the nature, and act or fact of accounting, and a Final Judgement for Man's deeds; they dislike the mention of exclusive worship of God. But when other motives are added to Monotheism agreeable to their personal humouring, or some ancestral customs, they rejoice.

Therefore Allah said to his prophet to say:-

``O, you Who are the Creator of the heavens and earth! You are the Knower of the unseen, and all that which can be seenِYou will judge between your servants in what they are at variance.''

In the Resurrection Day all differences are settled by God's judgement, and all people will know what is true and what is false. Through God's judgement the stubborn unbeliever too, will come to term; and there will appear to the sinners the evil of what they have earned; and that which they used to mock at, will encompass them.

In this earthly life it is difficult for us to apprehend the result of worshipping the only one God, and the spiritual growth that may result from it. Plunging in endless controversies too, will not solve the problems. We can all see and touch, the dreadful end of a sinner who believes not in God; and that of a sincere obedient servants who always follows the way of truth. They are never equal and the same, as the light and dark, or knowledge and ignorance, are not the same and equal.

The proper attituded is appealing to God humbly and to worship Him sincerely, keeping our religion pure for Him. Whatever is now Vague to us, will be cleared up in the hereafter.

There will come a time when all of us may say:-

would that I had sacrificed all I had for the love of God, and for the cause of truth. If now we will not be up and doing, it will become too late tomorrow.
