One truth that has been cleared in our discussion about physical resurrection is that according to Qura’n the Day of Reckoning has a material side as well as a spiritual one because man will be present on the Day of Gathering with his body and spirit and both will be rewarded by God’s bounties.
Some people who regard the bounties of Paradise as symbolic or spiritual and regard the verses that speak about material bounties as symbolic are unaware that believing the bounties of paradise to be symbolic or spiritual negates the physical resurrection and that is against the spirit of Qura’n and its verses.
As we have discussed about physical resurrection that the body and the spirit are always attached to each other like doppelgangers. Just as they cannot attain perfection or glory after being separated in this world similarly they can never be separated in that world from enjoying the bounties gifted by God. (Reflect)
The material bounties of Paradise like the spiritual bounties will be different, vast, pleasing and pleasant. Qura’n has stressed this point so that to enjoin everyone to the attributes and deeds which are the cause of all these bounties. (It is also clear that man thinks more about the material bounties than the spiritual ones.)
Despite all this, as we will find in the next chapter we have devoted a separate chapter about the details of spiritual pleasures. Though it may not be as large that chapter on material bounties but is far elevated in meaning and feelings.
After this brief introduction we submit a short list of the material bounties of Paradise as follows:
01 The gardens of Paradise
02 Its shades of pleasures
03 House and locality
04 Rugs, pillows and bed
05 Food and utensils
06 Pure wines
07 The Best wine
08 Utensils and cups
09 Dress and adornment
10 The wives of Paradise
11 Slaves and wine bearers
12 The receivers
13 The initial welcome
14 The unimaginable bounties.
There are many verses in the Qura’n for each of the above items. Now we move to the gardens and gather the flowers.
