To be unafraid of those other than GodSincerity and total sacrifice

One of the features among their important ones is that they should treat both the friends and foes equally and this in fact is connected to the attributes of God “  Ar-rahman and Ar-raheem” whose favors are upon everyone. This is why the Qura’n has attributed this feature to the apostles as has been mentioned in the 6th verse under discussion and which mentions Ishaaq and Yaquub who were the sons of Abraham and were good people who were in awe of God till their last breath. This is valid for, Solomon, David, Job, Yusuf, Moses and Aaron (three among the close relatives were great apostles as prescribed by God: This is how I reward the righteous ones.” This means that one among their features is that of doing favors for people.

The same meaning has been conveyed in many verses and some of them have been mentioned below:

“Peace is on Noah in all the worlds. Thus do We recompense those who do good deeds?” 79-80 Saffat,

“Peace is upon Abraham. Thus do We reward those who do good deeds?” 109 -110 Saffat,

“Peace is upon Moses and Aaron. Surely this is how We reward the doers of good deeds.” 120-121 Safaat,

“Peace is on the family of Yaseen. Verily this is how We reward the doers of good deeds.” 130-131 Saffat.

And this continuous repetion tells us that they were full of goodness and favors and the commentators have taken the same meaning. The late Tabrisi has explained “Ahsan” in Majmaul Bayan in the following sense “Obedience to God who is almighty”

But some other commentators like that of Ruhul Bayan have explained verse 80 of Surah Saffat as “ Patience and steadfastness while facing the oppression and harm from the enemy.”

It is also construed that the apostles faced the enemy with a view to preaching obedience and good deeds. The word “Ahsan” has been used therefore, to mean patience and forbearance, obedience and forgiveness etc.
