Verses 15-19Verses 7-14

I SWEAR BY THE RINGLETS OF THE SKIES
VERSE NO.7-14
These verses too, refer to the disbelievers who have no faith in the life to come, and particularly in the Dooms Day:-
``And I swear by the sky which is decked with beautiful ringlets.''
The Arabic,``HOBACK'' translated here to ringlets has several shades of meanings, such as a curly hair or curly pattern. Beauty, adornment, well-proportioned and etc.
With regards to the skies, it may refer to the elegant waves of clouds that sometimes form in beauty, or the galaxies, or the patterns that are produced by disposition of planets. Among the ringlets of the sky, we may name the orbits of the plannets-the visible and twinkling stars that revolve continuously.
Attar of NISHABUR has said :-``The stars are continuosly revolving as if they are in search of their own originator.''
The next verse reveals the object of the swear, which is the contradiction of disbelievers in their words. They sometimes said:-``We are sure that the rotten bones of a dead man will never turn back to life. ''
Another time they said :-``We are in doubt about Resurrection.''
Then they said :-``Bring back our forefathers to us that we may ask them about the life to come. ''
With regards to the messenger of God, they gave him the title or nickname of Trustworthy, mad, poet and the Sorcerer!
With regards to the glorious QurÌn, they called it a wonderful magic, Fairy Tales, or Superstitions!
In all the religious matters and principles, they were alway at variance! At last the unbelievers scoffingly said:-``If there comes to pass a Day of Doom, then let it come sooner!''
But when it come and they see it, they shall know what a terrible thing was, that they were seeking to hasten it! Then it is too late for doing anything for salvation .
