Verses 16-28Verses 1-15

WOE TO THE BELIERS
VERSE NO. 1-15
This chapter begins with some strict swears, the object of which is pointed to at verse 7, that the Resurrection Day will certainly come to pass, and Man should prepare himself for that dreadful encounter.
The first five things which are the substance of the oaths, are all some sort of an action, such as sending forth something or someone, moving fast, scattering something far and wide, sorting out and separating from each other, or warning or reminding. The actors of such actions might be the fast moving winds in the physical world, or the angels in the spiritual world, or else the Apostles in the human world.
Although in the said oaths, the Resurrection Day is not clearly pointed to, but each one of the mystical oaths are by itself a sign of the Resurrection as well as a proof to prove its occurrence: consider the clouds that are scattered here and there by the winds, and the consequent rain that revives the earth after it has been died and dried.
So is the case with the appostles, who all have the gospel of the Merciful kingdom of God, and the warning, that there shall be a court of justice for Final Judgement at the tip of their tongues.
Then, at the continuance of the oaths, the reference is to the scene of Dooms Day when the prophets are called in the court to bear witness of what they have seen, and to what they have NOT seen.
