یَـأَیُّهَا الَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا شَهَـدَةُ بَیْنِکُمْ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَکُمُ الْمَوْتُ حِینَ الْوَصِیَّةِ اثْنَانِ ذَوَا عَدْل مِّنکُمْ أَوْ ءَاخَرَانِ مِنْ غَیْرِکُمْ إِنْ أَنتُمْ ضَرَبْتُمْ فِى الاَْرْضِ فَأَصَـبَتْکُم مُّصِیبَةُ الْمَوْتِ تَحْبِسُونَهُمَا مِن بَعْدِ الصَّلَوةِ فَیُقْسِمَانِ بِاللهِ إِنِ ارْتَبْتُمْ لاَ نَشْتَرِى بِهِ ثَمَناً وَلَوْ کَانَ ذَا قُرْبى وَلاَنَکْتُمُ شَهَـدَةَ اللهِ إِنَّآ إِذاً لَّمِنَ الاَْثِمِینَ (106) فَإِنْ عُثِرَ عَلَى أَنَّهُمَا اسْتَحَقَّآ إِثْماً فَأَخَرَانِ یَقُومَانِ مَقَامَهُمَا مِنَ الَّذِینَ اسْتَحَقَّ عَلَیْهِمُ الاَْوْلَیَـنِ فَیُقْسِمَانِ باللهِ لَشَهَـدَتُنَآ أَحَقُّ مِن شَهَـدَتِهِمَا وَمَا اعْتَدَیْنَآ إِنَّآ إِذاً لَّمِنَ الظَّـلِمِینَ (107) ذَلِکَ أَدْنَى أَن یَأْتُوا بِالشَّهَـدَةِ عَلَى وَجْهِهَآ أَوْ یَخَافُوا أَن تُرَدَّ أَیْمَـنُ بَعْدَ أَیْمَـنِهِمْ وَاتَّقُوا اللهَ وَاسْمَعُوا وَاللهُ لاَ یَهْدِى الْقَوْمَ الْفَـسِقِینَ (108) 106- O, YOU WHO BELIEVE! CALL TO WITNESS FROM AMONG YOURSELVES, TWO MEN OF EQUITY, WHEN DEATH APPROACHES ONE OF YOU; AT THE BEQUEATHING. OR TWO OTHER FROM ANOTHER FOLK, IF YOU ARE ON A JOURNEY IN THE LAND, AND THEN AFFLICTION OF DEATH AFFLICTED YOU. IF YOU DOUBT THE LATTER'S(TRUTHFULNESS) DETAIN THEM BOTH TILL AFTER THE PRAYER. THEN LET THEM SWEAR BY ALLAH AND SAY:- WE WILL NOT SELL IT FOR ANY PRICE, EVEN IF THEY BE A NEAR KINSMAN; NOR SHALL WE HIDE THE TESTIMONY OF ALLAH. IF SO, THEN WE WOULD CERTAINLY BE AMONG THE SINFUL.
107- BUT IF IT IS DISCOVERED THAT BOTH OF THEM HAVE BEEN GUILTY OF A SIN, THEN TWO OTHER SHALL STAND IN THEIR POSITION WHO ARE THE NEAREST OF THOSE MOST CONCERNED. THEN THEY SHOULD SWEAR BY ALLAH THAT; OUR TESTIMONY IS TRUER THAN THEIR TESTIMONY, AND WE HAVE NOT TRANSGRESSED. IF SO THEN WE WOULD CERTAINLY BE OF THE OPPRESSORS.
108- THUS THEY WILL BE MORE LIKELY TO BEAR TRUE WITNESS, OR TO FEAR THAT THE OATH OF OTHERS MAY CONTRADICT THEIRS. AND BEWARE OF ALLAH AND GIVE EAR. (LISTEN TO ALLAH'S INSTRUCTION) ALLAH DOES NOT GUIDE A PEOPLE WHO ARE DEBAUCHERS.
