TEN COMMANDMENTS (VERSE NO. 151 - 153)

After the rejection of the pagan superstitions in the foregoing verses, the principal prohibitions of Islam and the most heinous of sins have been cleared up in these verses for the Muslims, in order to avoid. They are formed in ten commandments which are of great importance in the sight of Allah's, as follows:

1- Associate no one and nothing with Allah.

2- Be kind and do good to your father and mother.

3- Never kill your children for fear of poverty, or else.

4- Do not approach indecencies, hidden or open.

5- Commit no murder, and kill no one without having a right or just cause.

6- Do not approach the properties of the orphans, except in the best manner until they reach their age.

7- Fill up the measure and use the scale with justice.

8- When you speak, observe justice even if you speak on account of a near relative.

      9- Fulfill Allah's covenant.

10- This is my straight path, the path of monotheism, truth and justice, the path of piety and virtue, the path of unity and brotherhood. So follow it, and let not other paths scatter you out of the road to evolution and development, the road which leads to salvation and eternal prosperity.

These ten vital instructions are eternal commandments, and are not especialized to Muslims. They are enjoined almost by all Divine and important religions. They are easily apprehended by wisdom and common sense, and are accepted by nature, instinct, and conscience of human being.

The mention of being kind and doing good to parents immediately after the monotheism and oneness of God is a sign of the high importance of the commandment. This is because God's love of us and His care for us in an infinitely higher level, can be understood by our mother's love and care for us, which is purely unselfish. Therefore, in a mutual reaction, our first duty among our fellow creatures is to be kind with parent, and to do good to them.

Elsewhere in the glorious Quran we read: Q- S17: 23

``Your Lord Has decreed that you worship none but Him, and be kind to yourPARENT. If one or both of them attain old age in your dwelling place, then never say to them, `FIE' nor repel them. Lower to them your wings of humility and tenderness, and say: `Lord! Be Merciful to them as they nursed me in childhood.''
