Verses 11-16Verses 8-10

In the above verse various matters about the Genesis and Destination has been referred to. The first one in the passage has an inlerrogatory mood mingled with some protest that:-

``Do they not think within themselves that....''

This implies that, if they could but think properly, and refer to their inner conscience and wisdom, they soon would apprehend that:-

1ِWhatever has been created, has been created rightfully.

2ِThis material world has a term and appointed time, that has to expire and end to a new life; and to a different world. If not so, the creation of this world could have no meaning and object.

Therefore the intelligence, wisdom, and order by which the world is governed, is a clear proof to prove the All-knowing Creator. On the other hand the downfall and decline of this world proves that there is a Hereafter, and a new world and new life to come, and most probably an everlasting one.

The next verse (NO.8) includes a notice and warning to those who worship this material world and depend entirely upon it. They pay no heed, that the same sun has shone upon other men of the same kind, that were much mightier than them. They too ploughed up the earth and flourished it more, and were punished and perished for their sins.

The polytheists who were contemporary to our prophet have been addressed here, but the verse can also be common to all ages. There were many a man before us, and there will be after us too, who were and who are stronger and with superior wealth and position that their evil deeds, did and will, knock them down, and throw them to Hell.

When they disobeyed their Messengers they were destroyed and fell under the zero mark, of humanity for their evil deeds.

Those who are granted worldly power and position should know that they are temporary and fleeting. Soon they will have to leave it to others, and apply to the account which they will have to give afterward, because everyone is held in pledge of his own deeds.

So also the name of the chapter which is Rome will have many good lessons for us to learn. We should not think that we are superior in might, wealth, and position, to those who lived before us. Many a flourishing city and kingdom existed, such as Roman Empire, or Persian Kingdom, which are now the subjects of this chapter for lessons. They flourished in number and in welfare, and had better opportunities, which, they lost. They were wealthier, and stronger, but when they disobeyed their Lord, and denied His signs; they brought about their own ruin, and did not make a good use of the respite and chances that were given.

The ending of the above passage has referred to the consequences of blasphemy and disbelief, which may end in denial of the signs of God, and taking faith and virtues in mockery. Then advice and warning will be rendered ineffective, and the doors of Hell shall be opened to the sinners. They do have eyes but are blind and cannot distinguish the colour of truth from that of falsehood, and darkness from light.

In this world, good and bad, wrong and right, or truth and falsehood, are mingled and mixed up. Had the right been pure and isolated from wrong, no one would reject it for its wonderful beauty, and had the wrong appeared unmixed, no one would be attracted to it for its utter ugliness. But as far as people can see both, the right and wrong in the same thing, they waver in taking decision, and which one to choose. Of course this is temporary a matter, and in long run evil will show its own consequence which is evil; and good deed too, will bear its sweet fruit multiplied cumulatively.
