Verses 10-12Verses 7-9

These verses were revealed when Moslems were weak, forlorn, and pitiful, in the paws of the Meccan Idolaters, at the beginning of the advent of Islam. Through these verses Allah has encouraged them not to lose hope, nor to slacken in their strife, because Allah is with them; and those who carry the throne of His power pray for their success and felicity.

This has a threefold implication namely that:-

      1) Moslems are not the only beings who celebrate the praise of God-there are others too in the higher worlds who do that.

      2) It warns the heathens that their belief or disbelief in God makes no difference for Him. Through disbelief they rather ruin their own self and soul.

      3) And thirdly, it informs the believers that they are not alone in their carrier, and all those who bear some power in the throne of God, are their well-wishers and pray for their success, wishing their luck.

Here, both, the throne of God, and those who carry it, are figurative and represented by resemblance. It is not only the angels who carry God's throne of power. All men and women who have spiritual dignity, are carrying parts or pillars of the throne, or help the throne to be carried on. All the carriers evidently believe in God, and are well-wishes of mankind. They ask forgiveness for those who have believed in order to pave the way for their spiritual progress and evolution.

If we take the throne of God as a seat for Him in order to sit upon it, we better refer to the Sacred Tradition (HADITH GHODSI), to know the meaning of the throne better. The tradition is:-

``My heavens and earth were not extensive enough to accommodate Me; but the heart of My believing servant did accommodate Me.''

Among the prayers of the angels for the believers is:-

``Our Lord! Keep them aloof of evils, that whoever you keep away from evils, in that Day, you have bestowed your Mercy on them which is the supreme attainment.''

To avoid evil and being kept aloof of wrongs, will not only end to salvation and safety from dangers. They will also attain the fullest Grace and Mercy of God too. This will move them on, to the gardens of eternity; wherein the felicity and happiness is so high and extraordinary that, no eyes have seen, and no ears have heard it yet. This body of us which is imprisoned by time and space cannot understand and even think of such felicities that may await him.
