INTRODUCTION:THE EFFECT OF NURTURING FAITH ABOUT GOD BEING ALL HEARING AND ALL SEEING.

The scholars of rhetoric have included the term “Mudrak” as one of God’s attributes. The verse 103 of Surah describes it well when it says, “No vision can grasp Him, but His grasp is over all vision; He is subtle well aware.”

The orators say that it means to be all hearing and all seeing. So this word will be the plural of both. (1)

Raghib says “Idrak” means to reach the ultimate about anything. Some people have explained it eyes and some as the awareness in the heart.

But the reality is “Idrak” means the awareness in all sense but there is no proof for this in the Loghat but as has already been said it mean to reach the ultimate of anything in awareness and to obtain it whether it be through the sense or through intellectual reasoning.

The surprising fact is that the verse says that the eyes cannot see God and cannot understand or be aware whether it be this world or the hereafter, whether the Messenger is on his celestial journey or any one else and yet some commentators persist and say the opposite that God can be seen ( at leas t in the hereafter). The have given explanations for the same and Fakhr Razi has mentioned four in his commentary. (2)

These explanations are pitiful, slothful and weak. So we know that the purpose of one group is to impose its wrongful interpretations in the Qura’n.

We will discuss this further when we discuss “Sifat Salbia” Inshallah. These people think in this way while the Ahlulbait definite contrarily. Not only the eyes but intellect and imagination cannot decipher the reality of God.
