The origin of the words “Naseer” and “Nasir’ is “Nasr’ According to Maqayis-ol-Lughata it means a successful ending and the bestowing of goodness. According to Mafuradat it means to help and Lisan-ol-Arab says it means helping the innocent. But all the meanings revert to the same source.

Sometimes rain is called “Nasr” and the earth where the rain falls is called “Mansoor”. The mouths from which the rivers flow is called “Nawasir” all these means refer to the rain that gives a new life to the beings. When this word is used as an attribute of God then it means spontaneous and unlimited help that the people get from God.

The help begins from the time the seed germinates in the mother’s womb and God’s help encircles it through the law of causes. That seeds is never for a moment with the help of God and completes it journey in stages till it becomes an infant. Only then is the command of birth given to it.

From then God’s help comes in the shape of milk, the mother’s love and various gifts. When he reaches adult hood and God’s command are levied on him then God hands him over to His apostles and he is overshadowed by the divine revelation. This is how god helps him continuously.

In his long life he is subjected to hardships and is attacked by satanic forces, his ego that tries to crush him. He would not be able to survive their attack if God did not help him.

This realization removes the despondency he falls into because of these hardships and his steps become firm and his determination is strengthened and thus God’s help will be his best resource.

He will learn that he should instill himself with God’s goodness so that he can be the help of the innocent, the helper of the deprived, and a resource for the oppressed throughout his life.
