Another factor that contributes the entrance into this great place is beneficence or benevolence. Some verses of the Qura’n speak of this vast meaning. Verse 85 of Surah Maidah describes the conditions of those Christian priests who were so affected by the Qura’nic verses that they wept and accepted the t truth by believing. After describing their condition the Surah says:

“So because of what they said, God awarded them the gardens under which the rivers flow ands they will abide in them forever. Such is the reward for good doers.” (1)

It is true that they have been so rewarded these bounties because of the greatness of the Qura’n and for them believing in it but this was not the only reason but was something that was being said with full belief and this belief encompassed them totally. The verse before this says:

“You see their eyes overflowing with tears because of the truth that they have recognized.”

How was it like beneficence and goodness? It is explained that they had studied the Qura’n thoroughly and researched too then expressed their acceptance and obeyed accordingly.

Some commentaries say that the word “Ahsaan” is connected with worship and obedience done with true faith with the belief that god is ever present. When the Messenger was asked about “Ahsaan” he said:

“Worship god as if you see Him and even if you do not see Him, He sees you.” (2)

It is clear that a person who believes that God watches him then not only will his worship be true and spiritual but the effect of this will be visible in his words and deeds.
