A Fallible person is not capable to receive God’s revelations2. The opposition to the purpose and the non-confirmation of the aim of the Mission

God can never appoint such persons who may be the cause of the waywardness because all that he does is bad and why should God do such a thing? If a person who is fallible and unaware of the secrets of apostleship and if his work will be full of doubts then such a person will misguide the people. Will it not be something unwarranted if a disbeliever will replace something pious and reliable?

How can we expect God to hand over his miracles and secrets of the unknown to a person who is a sinner, a liar, and a disbeliever?

The Qura’n has given full details about it in verses 44 to 46 of Surah Haaqa

(And if he had forged a false saying concerning Us, We would surely have seized with by his right hand and would surely have cut off his Aorta.”

(None of you can neither stop us nor defend it)

These verses are those that speak about it, “When God gives some one His signs he gives a covenant that he will never deviate from the true path even for a moment. God will never give him even a moment’s chance and his heart will stop him from doing so but if this is not the case then it will mean that God is involved in misguiding and taking the people towards evil. This in itself is a proof of infallibility.

If we take the issue of mistakes to be beyond human control then a person can not be chastised for not saving himself from sins. God will be held responsible for the waywardness of the people then it will also mean that even after considering this verse we can say that the apostles is free from such mistakes.

The proof is the words that Imam Reza spoke to Mamun:

“The Imamia believe that God cannot order the obedience to a person who He knows will mislead and tempt them. He does not appoint a person as an apostle about whom He knows that he will resort to disbelief and will not worship Him but worship Satan instead. (1)

Hazrat Ali is known to have said in a hadith:

“God ordered the obedience to the apostles because they are innocent and infallible and do ask people to sin against Him. He has asked us to follow the

”Ulil Amr”, the chaste and chosen people, because they are infallible and do not ask people to sin. So obedience to them is a duty from God and His Messenger. No one else can be obeyed in religious matters. (2)
