THE BEGINNING OF GOD'S BOUNTIES
VERSE NO. 1-6
AL-RAHMAN=THE MERCIFUL implies the universal mercy of God; which covers all His creation and creatures; and therefore the reference here is almost to everythig. Everything is indeed a mirror that reflects the Mercy and Grace of God, whose Substance is mere goodness and beneficence.
One of the great Blessings of God to Mankind is teaching him QurÌn, which is the Book of God. QURAN is the glorious source of all blessings and the means of reaching to all right objects and truthful goals.
Teaching QurÌn has been mentioned before the creation of Man in the above passage to put stress upon its grandeur and importance, compared with that of Man.
The fourth favour of Allah that is mentioned here, is the regular movements of sun and moon:-
``The sun and the moon move and rotate regularly in computed courses.''
The sun by its substance is an all profit blessing for Man and all other moving creatures. Its light-its heat-its mass and gravity-and even its magnetic fields, are all sources of life and motion for all the creatures that are in this solar system.
The growth and development of animals, vegetation and plants, and any motion that needs energy on the globe, even the forms of mines and minerals are all dependent on the sun and its orbital movements and its various kind of radiations.
And besides; the regular and calculated moving system of the sun and its planets, play a vital role of the life of Man and animal.
In the universe, billions of planets larger or smaller than our globe or sun are moving in certain orbits and various velocities. All these motions and speeds have been percisely calculated, and follow minute mathematical laws and regulations! In other word, the heavens are sustained by mathematical calculation and precise balances.
The Arabic, ``NAJM'' is known with two meanings collectively; either meaning stars or plants, and here both meanings might be implied.
