THE SPOILS CAPTURED WITHOUT FIGHTING
VERSE NO.6-7
The above verses are to make clear, how to use the spoils that were left by the Jews of Bani-Nazir in particular, and how to use the spoils captured without a fighting in general.
However, no share have been fixed in division of the spoils. They are rather left to the care and judgement of the prophet or the righteous leader and Imam.
On the siege of Bani-Nazir, neither cavalry was used nor camelry. Allah cast a terror in the hearts of the Jews and they all surrendered in their first encounter with Moslims. On the other hand, their fortresses were not so far, to demand a troublesome and dangerous journey.
As to the share of the near kins in the abover verse (NO. 7), that of the prophet are meant or else; it would mean the near kins of all Moslims, which is meaningless.
As to the share of the orphan, needy and wayfarer; according to SUNNITE's understanding, it may refer to any Moslim orphan or wayfarer, but Shiites expounders of Quran are of opinion that, they too, must belong to the HASHIMITES, or near kins of the prophet.
The expelled Jews were originally strangers to the Arabian nationality and people. They had emigrated to Medina and seized the best parts of the lans that there existed! On the other hand, they were not willing at all to adopt themselves to the Arabs; for considering themselves a distinguished and learned class and race of Man. Therefore, their dispossession in the sight of the Arabs was a restoration of their lands to its original and real owner.
