Verses 14-18Verses 11-13

ALL THE AFFLICTIONS ARE BY GOD'S LEAVE
VERSE NO. 11-13
In the above passage, there is the principle that God knows and controls whatever happens of good or bad:-
``No affliction can afflict except by God's permission.'' Therefore, nothing can go wrong. Every event has a wise and just object behind it.
All the calamities that may happen in his world are of two main categories: Some of them are related to the very nature of the life here, such as death, aged and weakness and etc., all of which happen with the permission of God, and occur under His direct control. Here, God knows very well who is who and what is what. Some others of the misfortunes are the outcome of Man's conducts, his sins, his faults and mistakes. Then, if we decide to find out our shortcomings and make for them, there is no harm done and Allah guides our hearts if we believe in Him.
As to the afflictions that afflict the Man of God, or the Imams and infallible apostles, they voluntarily go to meet the troubles and welcome any injury or even martyrdom for the sake of their lord. They look at the fruit of their deeds, as a gardener disregards willfully all his toils and troubles, in growing a plant for the sake of the fruits that the tree will eventually bear.
The Grace of God is so extensive that in calamities too, we often find a great Mercy and Blessing! Pain, sorrow and fear are all the alarms of warnings; that something somewhere goes wrong in our soul and body. We should always be happy and keep quiet that our Merciful Lord is Absolute goodness and beauty, and that, nothing can come out of good but good. We therefore should hold fast to our faith in God and put our trust on Him.
