Verses 46-50Verses 42-45

THEY WISH TO PROSTRATE BUT THEY CAN'T
VERSE NO. 42-45
``Remember the Day when the shin becomes nude!''
A bare shin is an Arabic proverb that implies a hard situation and difficult work to be done. In such cases, one has to raise up his skirt and move faster to do something which is hard and troublesome.
In that dreadful Day of Resurrection, when all the secrets disclose themselves, and reality will be fully manifested, the sinner will desire to prostrate himself to celebrate the praise of God; with the hope of some help, but in that dazzling state, no one can even move. Their eyes are downcast by shame and regret, and they feel to be utterly abased.
Ay! Once upon a time they were sound and safe, and bidden to prostrate themselves before their Merciful Lord; but they refused-and now it is too late for that.
The prophet is then addressed, saying: ``Don't worry about the matters here. Leave the case of the beliers to God alone, and you mind your own duty which is conveying My Message. If God has given the believers a respite of a short term, know that God's mill may grind slowly but very sure and his plans are stout:-
``So leave Me alone with him who belies their revelation, gradually I will draw them to their painful end.''
