Verses 31-40Verses 26-30

VERSE NO. 26-30
Here, a symbolic picture of the agonies of death bed has been drawn:-
``He will not believe until his soul comes up to his throat, so as to leave his body for good.''
Around his death bed are sitting his dearers and nearers, all in confusion and deep sorrow; without being able to do aught for the patient. They only say:-
``O, my Lord! Is there any physician or enchanter to save him?''
But almost all of them, including the patient himself are sure of the sad departure. He has to leave all behind, and set out to meet with his Lord.
That instant of going from Here to the Hereafter, is indeed the greatest moment of our lifetime. According to Quran, that instant of transfer is sweet and easy for the believing good doer; but it is very hard for the sinful unbeliever. For the believer, death is an exchange of his worn-out, rough and dirty clothes with a new, clean, light and silk garment. In the case of the believer, death is some sweet smelling perfume which leads to a quiet and comfortable sleep. He feels no more pain, neither any more fear or any kind of uneasiness. His death is a door opened to an eternal life, or a movement from one house to another.
